"Michael you purchased the Tp-link (D210) Wireless- video doorbell and wasn't happy with it's only wireless option. I understand but where you went wrong was not doing the bare minimal of inquiry. If you had purchased the Tp-link (D225) Wired or Wireless- video doorbell, you would have been a happy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ customer."
Works well, no subscription required
"I'm a long time tp-link user, so when I was searching for a doorbell the choice was clear. They do have a cloud storage option, but I found that putting a 32GB microSD card inside was more than enough. Best of all, no weird $10 monthly subscription! Battery seems like it'll last over 10 weeks based on some extrapolation. Video quality is great, all the details seem fine. Motion detection hasn't had any false-positives, but I am indoors so your experience might vary. Great product so far!"
Better than most in this price range
"Very good camera sensitivity is good view is a wider angle than most video doorbell units as the driveway is in view and this camera not only detects people, but vehicle as well. Delivery drives up and you get a specific notification of vehicle detected, and then the person notification. Easy set up and the app is not as intermittent as others. Some minor delays in notifications but not unreasonable"

"I like this smart doorbell. Install was easy as are all TP-Link devices and it updated firmware after install. Camera looks great and has good coverage. The camera is 2k. Detection zones are by type; car, pet, person, package and general motion. Within each zone are on/off and sensitivity controls for the selected zone. In my case motion is set to 2 and people and packages are more sensitive at an 8. Per and car are off. Plug in chime is pleasant to hear. Another great feature is the onboard microSD card so you can capture video for viewing or download, no subscription needed! They do offer a cloud service if you don�t want to use an SD card for a fee (not needed). The new TAPO app is an upgrade to the old KASA app. Recommended!"
Just Okay
"I bought two of these Tapo Smart Video Doorbell Camera Wireless with Chime plus two Tapo wireless outdoor cameras to replace two conventional doorbells and some obsolete Arlo wireless cameras. The doorbells seem to function mostly as intended; just after install while on vacation someone came to the door and rang the bell and I was able to see them and my phone did ring. But the audio wasn't great; we live on a busy road where the wind blows constantly and we were in Italy so I still need to do some testing to see if there are some improvements that we can make on audio. My frustration is with automation and the Tapo app. I want to be able to not record every time we go in or out in the daytime when we are home and have cameras in full function mode while we are asleep at night without having to manually or voice control it. I'm also not a huge fan of the Tapo app. It just doesn't feel very intuitive for your average person."
