"I love how easy the cameras were to put up and install the app. The garage view camera is wireless and magnetic and has survived Winter Storm Blair. Very durable. The bedroom camera can zoom in and I�ve had to use the microphone several times with the cell phone signal not being strong in such a rural area. The notifications are easy to adjust and out of the 5 Tapo cameras I have installed - I only use playback for 2 of them. Highly recommend! Sound quality is great too!"

Tip on how to mount Tapo Mag Cam on Vinyl Siding

"I recently purchased the TP-Link Mag Cam and was able to mount it on vinyl siding without having do any drilling! The key is to mount the metal plate to some vinyl siding hooks. The ones I used were NACETURE Vinyl Siding Hooks (from Amazon). I had to use slightly different screws however - #8-32 x 5/8 in. Phillips Flat Head Stainless Steel Machine Screws. The screw heads protrude a tiny bit above the metal plate but the magnetic cam base still sticks super securely to the plate. Also I added a couple of washers (#8 Brass Flat Washer) to separate the metal plate a bit from the vinyl siding. Easy Peasy! Hope this tip helps!"

"A great camera purchase the Tapo A200. I spent more for this one and added the solar panel because or wireless capability but mainly the great reviews of its wireless reception range. Far exceeds other cameras I purchased that could not hold up the distance from my router, caused too many disconnects. This Tapo has performed outstanding so far. very satisfied."

"Overall a decent camera, clarity is good, mic is fairly sensitive, night vision seems good(it's seldom fully dark where the camera is mounted). So far only 2 negatives, 1) if you get frost or ice over the sensor(s) it will not trigger, 2)it gives false triggers, been using it for about a month and had about 6 false/no triggers. App is simple to use but does take a little bit to get set up. Like it will enough that I may buy a couple more"

"I would have given this 5 stars if occasionally it did not go offline. Not sure if that's the camera's fault or my mesh WiFi so I'll have to figure that out. I was not relishing trying to get power to my outdoor cameras. I'm concerned about aesthetics so I didn't want anything ugly providing power and communications. This being WiFi and battery powered filled-the-bill precisely. Besides, I was not looking forward to crawling through the attic and getting down near the eaves. Face in the insulation is not something I can stand. I did not want to, nor could I afford hiring an electrician either. Enter the Tapo camera. The camera looks great when in position and wide field-of-view is a bonus. I appreciate the ability to zoom in on areas of interest. The spotlight feature is really nice when it's dark and there are different levels of brightness you can choose which saves on battery if that's a concern. 2K resolution provides excellent clarity for a camera at this price point. The camera has a built-in speaker, microphone and siren which is nice. I travel often and this gives me piece of mind as I can monitor the property remotely. I also have several home automation devices of the Kasa or Tapo brand and they seamlessly integrate. For example I can turn on specific lights when something is detected by the camera. Whatever you can imagine to automate, you probably can. I provided a separate review on the solar panels I connected so I don't need to recharge the batteries manually. This truly is a wireless solution, and I'm very pleased with the result."
