"I bought a TC85 3pk from Best Buy. They're virtually identical to the C425. (Different model # for the retailer). The cameras work great. No wires makes them super easy to install. Set up was easy and the record quality is great. Add a micro SD or buy a hub for record capabilities. Batteries hold up well for now. Will add solar panels for charging at some point. They get the job done (hopefully, as advertised) without any uploads to a cloud."

"After researching Tapo cameras for my Florida backyard, I chose the Tapo C425 2K camera & an A200 solar panel, & had to mount everything on the gutters. COA rules, no boring holes in outside walls. Everything worked well, & I’m using an SD micro card instead of iCloud service. I'm also impressed/satisfied with the Tapo customer service/responses. They have an exceptional team! My grandson & I were hoping to observe some coyotes, bobcats, &, yes, even a Florida panther that occasionally wanders into the development. My only wish would be to be able to delete any video from the Tapo C425 camera’s micro SD card by using my phone, & not having to physically remove the SD card from the camera to do that. If the Tapo team were to incorporate that feature, it would undoubtedly enhance the product’s already great capabilities/features."
"I bought this one because no subscription is required. This camera alerts me EVERY time there is movement and/or person or pet in the very wide range it can see. It is so sensitive, I had to use the app to block off a rectangle in the monitored area so it doesn't see movement in areas where we were triggering it too often. I wish my doorbell/lock camera were as sensitive. Seeing the recorded videos is fast and easy. (I put the SD card from an old, ineffective camera in it. ) I have set up two magnetic plates so that I can move this camera when I need to use it indoors temporarily. Wireless makes for easy setup. Battery lasts many months even when triggered several times a day."
