Easy to install, couldn't get matter to work
"I wasn't able to get this working with Matter, but it turns out my Apple TV wasn't compatible since I needed a newer one. Otherwise, this Tapo or TP-Link device worked well. Installation didn't take too long. Using the TP-Link app was a breeze to connect the device and integrating it with my smart devices worked well. My only wish was that I could set this up through Matter. One thing to note is that this switch doesn't toggle click into place. You press it and it springs back up like a keyboard key. There's a light that's constantly on, which is a nice touch, but it might annoy you if you like pure darkness at night."
Matter integration works.
"This switch looks the same as TP-Link's Kasa HS210 switch. The difference might just be different firmware (and perhaps a different internal radio). Given the similarity and the same manufacturer, it's annoying that these switches cost more than the Kasa devices. The switch works as expected with Home Assistant as a Matter device. I didn't test it with any cloud services."

"Not sure why tp-link came out with this new �series� of smart home devices. I love the Kasa series, have 20+ switches all round the house and loved the app too. While this one offers the same experience, I haven�t figured out a way to integrate this switch into the Kasa app or vice versa. This switch as a standalone is great, and I would recommend this to anyone looking into a smart home solution. But for those already on Kasa and loved the tplink products, maybe just get another Kasa switch. This one seems to be a different ecosystem than the Kasa ones."

I�ve worked a lot in the industry with smart devices in My Home and other peoples homes and I�ve always chosen Kasa for my home. I was really excited to see these light switches now with matter support. For anyone that doesn�t know matter is a new protocol that will revolutionize smart home automation, making things easier to connect and speak to each other. I was excited to get this switch and quickly installed it. It runs as you would expect and gives you smart controls over any light switch you replace with it. At this price this is really a great bargain and agreed value. It�s a well-made light switch which is easy to install and is good quality. Highly recommend it if you�re in the market for something like this."

Great product and easy to install
"I am an electrician and I install a lot of smart switches and the TP-Link is hands down the easiest to program. The install is about the same as all the others, you will need a neutral wire which older houses may not have. Typically a switch takes me 9-12 minutes to install, and programing can take longer but with the TP it can be done in less than three minutes. The program consists of an app for your phone, and you will need to have access to the local wifi too, which some clients are weird about but if you can get it the install is smooth."

"This switch was fairly easy to install for a newbie like me. I followed the instructions and it was no problem. It was a little bit more difficult to set it up on the app, but I was glad to be able to set up Alexa to work. This has made it much more convenient to turn on the lights in my garage which had a switch too far from the entrance to make it convenient. Great product!"
