"FYI this is a switch, not a dimmer! This needs to be made more clear. It is just on or off and uses an internal relay so it can handle more power than a dimmer. This is exactly what I was looking for to control my outdoor floods. When it switches on or off, you hear a little click, which is the relay. You actually want to hear this click! It lets you know it is working. Connected immediately, no problems, found the 2.4 signal that was mixed in with the 5 signal. Not everyone can do that. They even give you a switch plate. Very good value, well priced. Would buy again."

"Surprisingly impressed with this product. I purchased this in July of 2024. Easy to install, setup and use. It controls my outdoor lights. Works as expected. I have been using the Tapo app to control and schedule when the light turns on and off. Very easy to use. The physical switch is durable and works as expected. I added it to my Apple Home in February 2025. It did not connect right away, but a simple reset on the switch resolved the issue. I was able to set up an automation schedule. When someone in my household arrives home the light turns on and shuts off after 15 minutes. Set up to run between sunset and sunrise. I can ask Siri to turn it on and off using my iPhone or HomePod mini. The automation works seamlessly. Highly recommended!"

"I have been very happy with my Tapo Dimmer Switch. As a complete beginner, I was able to install this by myself with very little effort. Not only does the switch allow me to dim my lights to different levels, I can now control everything with my smart phone as well. This switch is also Matter-compatible so I was able to link it into my Apple Home after connecting it through a Matter hub. That part was a little more confusing but has worked flawlessly ever since I got it connected. I strongly recommend this switch for anyone interested in adding some smart home features to their house. I expect to purchase more myself in the future."
