Yes. The IP65 weatherproof rating makes them suitable for indoor or outdoor placement. Deploy them wherever you need coverage based on your monitoring priorities.
Do both cameras need separate microSD cards?

If you want local storage on both cameras, each camera requires its own microSD card up to 512GB (sold separately). You can also use cloud storage (subscription required) instead for one or both cameras.
How far apart can the two cameras be from the router?

The Tapo C216 can be placed up to 42 ft away from the router with 2-3 walls obstructing.
